Briefly list subjects covered: This course expands on health histories to develop appropriate assessments measuring the level of dysfunction and impairment in Subacute, Acute, Chronic, Chronic 1 and Chronic 2 of common basic conditions that health practitioners may encounter. Recognition of conditions outside of the scope of practice is also instructed. There is both a theory and practical component to this course.

Students approach the musculoskeletal system regionally from the perspective of relevant clinical anatomy, pathology, biomechanics, diagnostic categories, current diagnostic tests and treatment strategies. The laboratory section of the course provides the student with skills in performing a focused orthopedic examination as the basis for an accurate diagnosis.

The objectives of the course will be achieved through in class/lab, video/ lecture, assignments and reading time. Evaluation of the student may be based on a variety of means, including graded homework, exams, quizzes, tests, papers, assignments / video assignments, practical examinations et cetera.

All students will be notified a minimum of 2-4 days prior to the date of any test and or examination. Students will be given ample time to complete assignments and clinical practical.
