Briefly list subjects covered: This course expands on health histories to develop appropriate assessments measuring the level of dysfunction and impairment in Subacute, Acute, Chronic, Chronic 1 and Chronic 2 of common basic conditions that health practitioners may encounter.
Recognition of conditions outside of the scope of practice is also instructed.
There is both a theory and practical component to this course.

  • Neurological Tests
  • Students approach the musculoskeletal system regionally from the perspective of relevant clinical anatomy, pathology, biomechanics, diagnostic categories, current diagnostic tests and treatment strategies.
  • The laboratory section of the course provides the student with skills in performing a focused orthopedic examination as the basis for an accurate assessment.
  • The objectives of the course will be achieved through in class/lab , video/ lecture , assignments and reading time. Evaluation of the student may be based on a variety of means, including graded homework, exams, quizzes, tests, papers, assignments, practical examinations et cetera.
  • All students will be notified a minimum of 2-4 days prior to the date of any test and or examination. Students will be given ample time to complete assignments.
