Day 1: Upper Body and Spine Pain Management
Session 1: Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Introduction to Osteopathic Pain Control

• Overview of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)
• Clinical considerations: Approach to pain management from an osteopathic perspective.
• Patient assessment: History-taking and musculoskeletal examination.

Regions Covered:

• Cervical Spine (ICD-10 Codes: M50, M53)

1. 1. OMT techniques for neck pain and cervical dysfunction.
   2. Assessment and manipulation of the cervical spine.
   3. Addressing issues such as herniated discs and whiplash injuries.

• Thoracic Spine (ICD-10 Codes: M40-M43, M60-M63) evaluation

1. 1. Evaluation and OMT techniques for thoracic pain.
   2. Rib dysfunction and costovertebral pain.
   3. Thoracic outlet syndrome and T4 syndrome.

Session 2: Afternoon (01:00 PM – 04:00 PM)

Upper Limb Pain

• Shoulder (ICD-10 Codes: M75, M16-M19)

1. 1. OMT techniques for rotator cuff injuries, impingement, and shoulder instability.
   2. Clinical exam and functional mobility assessment.

• Elbow & Wrist (ICD-10 Codes: M77, M18, M65)

1. 1. Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, and wrist sprains/strains.
   2. OMT approaches to managing repetitive strain and myofascial pain.

• Hand and Finger (ICD-10 Codes: M79.6, M10)

1. 1. Carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, and trigger finger.
   2. Osteopathic manual treatment for hand conditions.

Evening Session: (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

• Case Discussions & Review

1. 1. Interactive session with case studies from participants.
   2. Review OMT techniques and treatment outcomes.
