Day 2: Lower Body and Complex Pain Management
Session 1: Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Lower Back Pain & Pelvic Region

• Lumbar Spine (ICD-10 Codes: M54.5, M51, M48)

1. 1. OMT for lumbar dysfunction, herniated discs, and sciatica.
   2. Focus on alleviating low back pain using indirect and direct techniques.
   3. Strengthening exercises and posture education.

• Sacral and Pelvic Pain (ICD-10 Codes: M53, M54.6, M25.5)

1. 1. OMT for sacroiliac joint dysfunction and pelvic misalignment.
   2. Techniques for managing pelvic pain, sacral dysfunction, and coccygodynia.

Session 2: Afternoon (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

Lower Limb Pain

• Hip Pain (ICD-10 Codes: M16, M17)

1. 1. Osteopathic techniques for hip dysplasia, arthritis, and muscular imbalances.
   2. OMT approaches to femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and labral tears.

• Knee Pain (ICD-10 Codes: M17, M23, M25)

1. 1. OMT for patellofemoral syndrome, meniscal tears, and osteoarthritis.
   2. Focus on addressing joint stability and soft tissue dysfunction.

• Ankle & Foot (ICD-10 Codes: M76, M77, M79)

1. 1. OMT for sprains, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and flat feet.
   2. Functional approaches to foot alignment and mobility.

Session 3: Evening (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Chronic Pain and Myofascial Pain Syndrome

• Diagnosis and Management

1. 1. Understanding and addressing chronic pain conditions from an osteopathic viewpoint.
   2. OMT techniques for myofascial pain, fibromyalgia, and postural strain.
   3. Integrating lifestyle modifications and exercise.

Optional Post-Clinic Add-Ons (Optional 1-on-1 sessions for patients)

• Follow-up OMT: Hands-on OMT sessions for individual patients based on the conditions presented.
• Patient Education: Providing personalized stretching routines, posture correction exercises, and ergonomic recommendations.
